The CUPRA Raval has been awarded a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, adding a new dimension to the brand’s electric urban car. More than a compact EV designed for the city, the CUPRA Raval proves how safety, electrification and performance can be a perfect match.

The Euro NCAP 2026 assessment introduces one of the organisation’s most ambitious frameworks in over a decade, with a stronger focus on real-world effectiveness and a holistic approach to safety before, during and after a collision. The updated assessment protocol underlines intelligent driver assistance systems, enhanced occupant protection and post-crash safety, reflecting the evolving role of technology in helping to prevent accidents and protect all road users.

Aligned with Euro NCAP’s enhanced 2026 assessment protocol and its four key pillars - Safe Driving, Crash Avoidance, Crash Protection and Post-Crash Safety - the CUPRA Raval places safety at the core of its urban electric character. The model is developed to support every stage of the journey: monitoring the driver, helping to prevent collisions, protecting occupants and vulnerable road users, and providing support after an incident.

Advanced driver-focused technologies help create a safer and more intuitive driving experience. The CUPRA Raval integrates intelligent systems designed to support driver awareness and engagement, including speed assistance, traffic sign recognition and advanced monitoring functions, helping drivers remain informed and in control in a wide range of driving situations.

To prevent or mitigate potential incidents, the CUPRA Raval features a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems supported by extensive sensor architecture. Technologies such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, lane support and surrounding-traffic monitoring enhance the vehicle’s ability to identify hazards and react when needed, providing an additional layer of confidence in everyday driving.

Protection is embedded in the CUPRA Raval’s development. A robust body structure, combined with adaptative restraint systems and a comprehensive airbag package, has been engineered to provide a high level of occupant protection while also helping to reduce injury risks for other road users in the event of a collision.

The CUPRA Raval also incorporates technologies designed to support rapid and effective emergency response. Features such as automatic emergency call systems, post-impact vehicle management and enhanced safety functions help minimize the consequences of an incident and improve assistance when every second matters.

The optional Safety Pack combines Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (pACC) and Front Cross Traffic Alert, enabling the CUPRA Raval to achieve a five-star Euro NCAP rating, with strong results across the upgraded assessment areas: Safe Driving 72%, Crash Avoidance 77%, Crash Protection 91% and Post-Crash Safety 95%. The Safety Pack is included as a country setting in most European markets and the CUPRA Raval Plus, Endurance and VZ versions achieve 5 stars as standard.
