CUPRA brought a new-generation driving experience to FC Barcelona’s Ciutat Esportiva with an exclusive test drive of the CUPRA Raval, the car that brings all the emotion and expressive design of the brand to CUPRA’s first Electric Urban Vehicle. First-team players Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Ferran Torres, Roony Bardghji and Alejandro Balde had the opportunity to test the car on urban circuits around the club’s facilities, discovering its striking design, electrifying performance and driver focus. After the test drive, Lamine Yamal immersed himself in the world of the CUPRA Raval, exploring every detail of a model that matches his energy and determination. He then joined a photoshoot with the car — a vehicle that perfectly reflects the bold attitude and unstoppable spirit of FC Barcelona’s next‑generation star.

Barça’s talents had the chance to discover a camouflaged version of CUPRA Raval VZ. Featuring Dinamica bucket seats and 19” alloy wheels in copper, this 4 meter long, 100% electric vehicle offers a dynamic and engaging experience that redefines the possibilities of EVs. Uniting the world of urban mobility with the excellence of FC Barcelona, both CUPRA and the club are aligned by an ambition to inspire a new generation that wants to challenge the status quo.
From acceleration, power, and cornering to braking performance, grip and passenger comfort, the Barça footballers explored the key aspects of a car designed with the drivers of the future in mind. They experienced features like the Sport Mode and the Sennheiser sound system, discovering the enhanced responsiveness, dynamic handling and innovative design elements that make the CUPRA Raval a unique driving experience.
The players shared highly positive impressions of the car’s dynamics — a powerful endorsement from athletes who inspire a new generation with their bold spirit. They highlighted Sport Mode, instant acceleration and confident cornering as standout features, together with the striking presence of the camouflaged design.
The alliance between CUPRA and FC Barcelona is more than a partnership. As the Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and the Official Car of FC Barcelona, CUPRA recently launched ‘The Road Back Home’, an initiative to connect with FC Barcelona members and fan clubs. A commemorative CUPRA Formentor will travel with the women’s and men’s teams on thirteen trips in Spain and Europe, visiting up to 520 Barça fan clubs, which will each have the opportunity to decorate the car with their badges, turning it into a rolling tribute to the Barça spirit.
The CUPRA Raval will be available in different trims with a variety of customisation options, giving every driver the opportunity to express their own ‘Raval Spirit’ and match their lifestyle. Whether they’re looking for extra power, a larger battery for extended range, or a balanced mix of both, there’s an option tailored to their needs. The CUPRA Raval will make its global debut on 9 April.
