  • Through CUPRA City Garage Madrid, CUPRA becomes the official mobility partner for the production of La bola negra, the upcoming film by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
  • This collaboration strengthens CUPRA’s connection with cinema as a creative territory that promotes talent, emotion, and disruption.

CUPRA joins La bola negra, the new cinematic project by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, as official mobility partner. Through CUPRA City Garage Madrid, the brand provides a fleet of 25 electrified and fully electric vehicles for the transportation of directors, technical crew, and cast members throughout the filming period. With this alliance, CUPRA reinforces its commitment to electrification and supports production that will travel across multiple locations within and beyond Madrid, in a shoot designed to be sustainable in all its stages.

This collaboration with the new creative project by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo is part of CUPRA’s ongoing commitment to cinema as an authentic and transformative form of expression, a creative space that nurtures talent. With a consolidated presence in key international arenas such as the Berlinale, the BAFTA Awards, and the Sitges Film Festival, CUPRA continues to deepen its engagement with the audiovisual world. The brand does so alongside renowned figures such as J.A. Bayona, CUPRA ambassador, and Daniel Brühl, a symbol of the creative dialogue between Europe and Hollywood. It also promotes projects like The Dream Makers, an initiative by the SEAT CUPRA Foundation developed together with Bayona and ESCAC, which embodies CUPRA’s avant-garde vision and cultural impact.

La bola negra takes its title from an unfinished play by Federico García Lorca. The film stars Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González, Lola Dueñas, and Penélope Cruz, and is produced by Suma Content Films and Movistar Plus+, with El Deseo and Le Pacte as co-producers. The project reaffirms Los Javis as one of the most authentic and emotionally powerful voices in contemporary Spanish cinema.

“At CUPRA, we are committed to supporting Spanish talent, cinema, and authentic projects. This collaboration with La bola negra represents our way of understanding and supporting film from within, in an organic way. We are thrilled to take part in this project by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, who are also members of our tribe. Their creative vision and commitment to talent perfectly align with CUPRA’s essence,” said Cristina Vall-Llosada, Manager Director of CASA SEAT & CUPRA City Garage Madrid.

“For us, CUPRA is much more than a car brand. It’s a way of understanding movement, the city, and emotion. We love that they’re joining us on this personal and collective journey that is La bola negra,” said Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
