The new CUPRA Born VZ is the most powerful and performance-focused version in the line-up. Available from launch, it proves that electrification and performance are a perfect match.
A 240kW (326PS) electric motor delivers 545Nm of instant torque, taking the CUPRA Born VZ from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.6 seconds (0-50km/h in only 2.6s), and raising top speed to 200km/h. Despite its increased power, it still offers a benchmark electric range up to 631km from the 79kWh battery pack, with recharge times from 10 to 80%in as little as 29 minutes (183kW DC charging).
The Born VZ’s dynamic behaviour induces a truly emotional experience thanks to the strong braking feel, robust suspension tuning, and sharp steering and pedal response. The new E-Launch function delivers the car’s full performance from a standstill in an emotionally engaging way.
The CUPRA Born VZ’s chassis is engineered to ensure its dynamics live up to its performance ambitions. Rear dampers and springs work in perfect sync with the front damper valve settings and spring design, while the anti‑roll bars tie everything together to form the DCC Sport suspension — delivering ultimate body control. This setup absorbs and refines the tarmac, unlocking sharper precision and superior dynamic performance.
When the road turns more dynamic, the CUPRA Born VZ’s steering hardware and software work together to deliver a sportier, more precise feel, giving the driver clearer feedback. Combined with the VZ’s firmer, more robust braking response, the overall driving experience becomes sharper, more immediate and undeniably more emotional.
Recovering energy into the powertrain is as intuitive as tapping the regenerative paddles behind the steering wheel, giving the driver instant control over energy recuperation. As soon as the accelerator is released, the motor switches into generator mode, feeding energy back into the battery, boosting efficiency and reducing brake wear.
Drivers simply use paddle shifters to move through the three levels while in ‘D’ mode, adapting the car’s response to match their driving style.
In the new CUPRA Born VZ, the new LED headlight technology has been taken to the next evolution with the standard Matrix LEDs (offered as option for the other versions). The system allows the lighting to adapt to the driving environment, incorporating innovations such as glare-free High Beam function, which detects vehicles in front of it and adjusts the beam of light to provide maximum illumination without dazzling other users nor losing visibility.
The CUPRA Born VZ’s exterior design is where aesthetics meet performance, marked by the distinctive VZ emblem at the rear — a final touch that reinforces its more assertive identity.
Inside, the Born VZ amplifies driver engagement. CUPBucket seats position the driver closer to the car’s centre of gravity, giving an even greater feel of control.
The vehicle’s performance setup doesn’t come at the cost of comfort. At the rear, thanks to the optimised chassis, the CUPRA Born VZ delivers full five‑seat comfort — and even offers the high-end feel of a sunroof in the same package.
