The CUPRA Raval is equipped with 7 airbags, including a central airbag to prevent occupant collision during side impacts. Multifunction Interior Camera, monitors driver fatigue, while new Travel Assist and Emergency Assist – powered by a complete 360º suite of sensors provide high-level semi-autonomous support.
New Travel Assist enhances the overall safety and comfort on the road with features including Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control to help take the pressure off in certain driving scenarios.
The new Travel Assist system not only knows how to manoeuvre in roads with no painted lines but also reacts to road furniture, regulating the speed — for example before a speed bump. The system can also react to traffic lights, give way and slow to stop signs.
Emergency Assist steps in when the driver isn’t able to; tiredness recognition, Front and Rear Assist, and a smart safety feature that monitors activity. If it detects no response, takes control and alerts others, taking the vehicle to the roadside and unlocks the doors, ready for when assistance arrives.
The CUPRA Raval is equipped to make urban driving and parking safer and more intuitive. Intelligent Park Assist enables the vehicle to automatically steer into both parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, reducing stress in tight city environments.
And when the urban jungle makes parking even more challenging, the CUPRA Raval elevates everyday convenience with its advanced Remote Park Assist system. Building on the capabilities of Intelligent Park Assist, the technology allows drivers to complete final parking manoeuvres from outside the vehicle using their smartphone. Once activated, the car starts on command and autonomously steers, accelerates and brakes itself into the selected space – ideal for tight bays where opening the doors would be difficult or impossible.
Combining precision sensors with seamless remote control, Remote Park Assist delivers effortless parking in even the tightest urban environments.
Safety is further enhanced with Rear Traffic Alert, which detects approaching vehicles when reversing and helps prevent potential collisions. Completing the system, the Top Area View Camera provides a 360º view around the vehicle, ensuring optimal visibility and precise manoeuvring in every situation.
With the new optional Pre-Crash function, the car reacts not only to front and rear potential impacts, but also to side ones. This system enhances safety by actively preparing the car for a potential impact, closing windows/sunroof, activating hazards lights and tensioning front seatbelts.
Adaptative front seatbelts to adjust the retention to different body typologies, while the Pedal Missed Operation System recognises if the driver has pressed accelerator by mistake, instead of brake, and halts the car if an obstacle is detected.
The car’s safety features extend to post-collision situations, where the Airbag ECU and Event Data Recorder work in tandem to estimate damage severity and automatically initiate a ‘Workshop Call’, streamlining the repair process.
Furthermore, the CUPRA Raval has been meticulously developed under low-speed urban impacts consideration, featuring deformation elements that minimise damage to reduce insurance costs.
