“The SEAT Ibiza and Arona are true success stories, fundamental to our line-up and the brand’s growth. As two of the SEAT’s most iconic models, they have played a key role in driving urban mobility and have been essential to the brand’s success,” said Markus Haupt, CEO of SEAT & CUPRA. “The start of production of these vehicles represents an important milestone for our factory in Martorell which is advancing to become a flexible, multi-brand plant, equipped with all the necessary technologies to build cars that offer a wide range of choices for our customers,” he added.

“The production of the Ibiza and Arona reinforces Martorell's position as a plant ready to face the challenges of the future,” said Jose Arreche, Director of the SEAT & CUPRA plants in Martorell and Barcelona. “This milestone reflects the extraordinary effort of our entire team to ensure that both models hit the streets at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, we have enhanced our production processes, delivering greater precision and efficiency to guarantee the highest quality standards,” he added.

SEAT, stronger than ever

The arrival of new versions of the SEAT Ibiza and SEAT Arona show how the brand is expanding its offer to give drivers a wider range of options following a strategy that will see the entire SEAT lineup renewed with electrified options by 2028, starting with mild-hybrid versions of the Ibiza and Arona in 2027, followed by a full hybrid powertrain for the SEAT Leon in 2028 and subsequent updates to the Leon and Leon Sportstourer in 2029.

SEAT remains firmly committed to its dealerships and customers, with more than 1,400 sales points and 3,000 service points worldwide, offering competitive service and maintenance, attractive insurance packages and comprehensive warranty coverage. Meanwhile, a refreshed visual identity offers an updated colour palette, keeping SEAT vibrant, relevant and closely connected with its audience.

The SEAT Ibiza and Arona take a step forward

The new SEAT Ibiza and Arona continue to raise the bar in their respective segments with vibrant design and advanced technology. Both vehicles take a step forward, based on three fundamental pillars: a refreshed exterior, a refined interior and a stronger overall value proposition.

The SEAT Ibiza is a true icon of its segment. Since its debut in 1984, it has sold over 6 million units across five generations, constantly evolving, adopting new ideas, and projecting a youthful and creative spirit. A vehicle that has grown with its customers, connected with the world and kept pace with life.

With over 750,000 units sold, it's the perfect vehicle for drivers looking for a dynamic and youthful SUV ready to tackle any challenge, both in and out of the city, thanks to its compact exterior dimensions, spacious interior and trunk, advanced technology, and impressive agility.

The new SEAT Ibiza and Arona are now available in the SEAT car configurator in nine key markets, including Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the UK.
