Sessions that drive collective creativity

Led by the People & Organization department with the support of IT, participation in  Innovation Days+ is open to the company’s more than 13,000 employees, providing spaces to interact, connect and draw inspiration from their colleagues’ creativity. Over the course of three days, and under the theme “InnoWATTion Days+: Empowered by People. Energized by Innovation”, this year’s event once again highlighted the importance of innovation and the role of Artificial Intelligence in optimizing the company’s internal processes.

“Innovation Days+ is a platform that gives people a voice and motivates them to propose bold, original, and transformative solutions. Initiatives like this help us nurture the talent and creativity of our teams, the fundamental pillar of our company,” said Laura Carnicero, Executive Vice-President for People and Organization at SEAT & CUPRA. “During this edition, we have seen that the creativity of SEAT & CUPRA knows no bounds, and we are extremely proud of that.”

The Innovation Days+ programme featured a wide range of activities, including an on-site recording of the Monos Estocásticos podcast, Spain’s most popular show on AI-related topics, as well as four different test drive experiences. Attendees also enjoyed an escape room inspired by the Zona Franca facility that houses the SEAT Historical Collection and took part in motivational talks and roundtable discussions on various topics. Additionally, a mixology workshop was held featuring the CUPRA Drink x Vichy Catalan, a beverage that originated during the 2023 edition of Innovation Days+.

Virtual reality and AI take centre stage in the seventh edition

Among the groundbreaking projects presented was “AQUA AI”, an initiative that leverages Artificial Intelligence to improve product quality, reduce production times and CO2 emissions, and move toward a prototype-free model. AQUA AI has recently been applied to analyse the robustness of urban electric vehicle designs under different load conditions. Similarly, the “HV Battery Analysis and Repair” project enhances the use of mixed reality glasses to create an immersive environment where specialists can safely inspect and repair high-voltage batteries without electrical risk, accessing all relevant information in real time.

Across its seven editions, Innovation Days+ has attracted more than 20,000 visitors, with 263 projects presented and 40 motivational talks held. This journey has established the event as a benchmark platform for innovation and cross-functional collaboration at SEAT & CUPRA, reflecting the company’s commitment to leading the new era of mobility
