  • Since its creation, the SEAT CUPRA Foundation has donated 19 electric vehicles to various prestigious healthcare centres, contributing to a more flexible, patient-centered, and sustainable model of home care

The SEAT CUPRA Foundation continues to promote home healthcare through its “Health on e-wheels” project, which puts electric mobility at the service of healthcare centres across the country. The foundation has donated seven CUPRA Tavascan and four CUPRA Born to facilitate care and treatments outside the clinical setting to the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, along with the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital and the Fundació Institut Guttmann, in Badalona.

“We are taking another step forward in our ‘Health on e-wheels’ project, convinced that healthcare should be easy and accessible for everyone. At the SEAT CUPRA Foundation, we want to continue contributing to the strengthening of our country’s healthcare system, and we are proud to support four prestigious healthcare institutions with the donation of eleven electric vehicles that will facilitate the mobility of their professionals and enable care to reach the homes of those who need it most.”

Dr. Such participated in the delivery of the vehicles to the medical centres during four ceremonies held at their healthcare facilities, attended by Dr. Josep M. Pomar, Director of Institut Català de la Salut (ICS); Dr. Cristina Capdevila, Director of Bellvitge University Hospital; Dr. Albert Salazar, Director of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital; Dr. Josep Maria Mòdol, Director of Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital; Dr. Montserrat Bernabeu, Director of Patient Care and Co-Director of the Fundació Institut Guttmann; and Montse Caldés, Manager and Co-Director of the Fundació Institut Guttmann.

"The donation of these vehicles will help strengthen the home hospitalization services provided by the Bellvitge and Germans Trias i Pujol centers, as well as the pediatric home care services offered by Vall d’Hebron Hospital. We appreciate the support of the SEAT CUPRA Foundation, as these cars will enhance the work of healthcare professionals when they need to visit patients’ homes, using a sustainable form of transportation such as electric vehicles."

Josep M. Pomar Reynés, Director of Institut Català de la Salut (ICS)

“Bringing neurorehabilitation to patients’ homes means supporting them where they are rebuilding their lives and facing the realities of daily life. Home care strengthens their independence, facilitates family involvement, and improves functional outcomes. Thank you to the SEAT CUPRA Foundation for these two new vehicles, which allow us to continue moving toward a more sustainable, efficient model focused on people’s needs.”

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY TO REACH PATIENTS' HOMES

The donation of eleven electric vehicles to these leading medical centres helps strengthen the country’s healthcare system by reinforcing key services. The three electric cars donated to Bellvitge University Hospital will improve the efficiency of home care services, while those at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital will be allocated to teams in the Pediatric Hospitalization Unit, the Pediatric Palliative Care Unit, and the Neonatal Unit. The three vehicles donated to Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital will support the work of the home care team, which makes nearly 25,000 visits a year; and the Fundació Institut Guttmann will use the two cars provided to enhance the positive impact of home treatment.
