Partner to Society
We aim to strengthen our commitment to Spanish society, thus contributing to the development of its people and the country by focusing on the health and well-being of communities.
To do so, we partner with local hospitals and research centres like the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia; as well as with foundations, such as the Fight Against Infectious Diseases Foundation and the Blood and Tissue Bank to engage in impactful social actions. In 2024, SEAT S.A. held the “Cursa Be the Impulse 2024” charity race with nearly 5,700 participants and raised over €79,000 to support neurodiverse children and adolescents in Barcelona’s Raval neighbourhood through the Tot Raval Foundation.
The physical and mental health of the staff members is ensured through the health services offered by CARS (Centre for Health Care and Rehabilitation) and the mental health plan in our facilities. In 2024, more than 167,000 health-related activities took place.
As the company celebrates its 75th Anniversary, it is opening a new chapter in its commitment to society with the launch of the SEAT CUPRA Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to unlocking the potential of young people while fostering a more dynamic and equitable society. Built on three core pillars—Next Generation, Health, and Social Legacy—it aims to drive meaningful impact. More details on its initiatives will be shared in the coming months.
People Centricity
At SEAT S.A., we carry out different actions to foster the well-being and commitment of our employees to the company.
We prioritise the construction of long-term, sustainable employee relationships through initiatives and benefit programmes promoting social dialogue and personal growth.
We foster a smart working culture to improve work-life balance, a digital disconnection policy and social benefits for our employees. We also work on initiatives that promote staff participation and accompany them in the transformation towards electrification.
In 2024, we strengthened our capacity to lead and innovate in sustainability through the training plan framed in the Future: Fast Forward project. We offered more than 150,000 hours of training activities to our staff, providing the necessary skills to address current and future challenges. In the context of SEAT S.A.'s transformation, our goal is to reach 500,000 hours of training for all personnel.
Diversity
We embrace diversity as a fundamental strength, valuing the unique perspectives and experiences of individuals, and recognising that diversity drives innovation and collective success.
That is why we have implemented a wide range of initiatives and tools that promote an inclusive work environment, protect the rights and dignity of all people, and contribute to building a more equitable and prosperous company.
For example, our Equality Plan includes over 60 measures, such as the implementation of a new protocol for the protection of victims of gender-based violence and the extension of the Protocol Against Sexual Harassment and Harassment Based on Gender to the LGBTI+ community. In addition, our Diversity Plan includes 69 measures promoting a safe working environment and equal professional development for the community, with a special focus on transgender people.
We undertake actions to promote diversity of perspectives (e.g., various mentoring programmes), raise awareness (trainings, communication campaigns, etc.), address unconscious bias (e.g., specific awareness workshops), and break down barriers while evoking empathy through personal experiences (e.g., encounters with different people sharing their personal stories), among many other initiatives.
We have also set targets to further increase the representation of women in management positions, as well as the percentage of managers with international experience, and the inclusion of diverse individuals. We measure our progress through our own inclusion index.
Responsible Supply Chain
Sustainability is at the core of all the commercial relationships of the entire supply chain.
We use our S-Rating (Sustainability Rating) to evaluate the performance of our suppliers based on human rights, environment, decarbonisation, responsible procurement of raw materials and the fight against corruption, among others.
Our ambition is to collaborate with A-rated suppliers, the highest qualification. We are also actively working with our suppliers to help them achieve this qualification as part of our supplier excellence programme, therefore guaranteeing that our business partners comply with the required sustainability standards.
To complement our supplier’s sustainability programme, we prioritise suppliers with a social purpose and suppliers’ diversity, promoting the inclusion of underrepresented groups in our supply chain.
