It’s daybreak and the SEAT Ibiza sets off on a journey to its essence, across the island that gave it its name. Spanning more than 40 years and five generations, SEAT’s icon has been the driving force behind a bold evolution in design, technology and access to mobility, making it the best-selling car in the brand’s history with more than 6 million units sold. The latest update, modern and dynamic, has been recently unveiled in Ibiza, and now takes a road trip around its lands, blending in with its youthful character with more soul than ever.

As the sun begins to peek over the horizon, the SEAT Ibiza starts off on its adventure around its namesake Mediterranean island, making a strong impression with its updated styling and renewed range of alloy wheels. “It has a more expressive appearance thanks to a redesign of the front bumper, the hexagonal grille design and the diamond-shaped mesh” explains SEAT Design director Jorge Diez. The car moves dynamically along the roads of Ibiza, just as its side lines flow proportionally towards the wide bonnet. The interior is solid and refined, featuring new embossed textiles and a perforated leather steering wheel that perfectly match the views.

As the car drives through the streets of Ibiza, its vibrant colour stands out among the whitewashed houses. This new shade is called Liminal, and it’s full of nuances that are visible as the light changes, almost like when the sky turns red and orange at sunrise. “Liminal, together with the other new colours Oniric and Hypnotic, adds a youthful energy and bold personality to the model in harmony with the spirit of the island” says Diez.

Its 210 kilometres of coastline are the perfect setting for a concert inside your car. With the new premium SEAT Sound system, the Ibiza playlist can be enjoyed with a more authentic sound, from the synthesizers of Balearic beat to the drums of more traditional music. “The model has up to six premium speakers, positioned and oriented with precision, a 10-litre subwoofer and a 300W amplifier to provide a high-fidelity audio experience” says José Luis Álvarez, SEAT Sound Systems project leader.

The setting sun reflects off the water and outlines the mystical islet of Es Vedrà. It’s getting dark, but the SEAT Ibiza shines on ahead. “Its full LED headlights redefine its expression and emphasise its width with their refined, slimmer light signature, giving it a more determined attitude” concludes Julio Lozano, SEAT's head of Exterior Design. With its greater beam range and brightness, and lower energy consumption, the car heads into the Ibizan night, full of essence and ready to continue inspiring with its youthful, dynamic and expressive character.
