CUPRA uses 3D knitting technology, based on precision engineering, to create future-focused designs. This advanced technique has been implemented in the CUPRA Raval while shaping automotive-inspired garments for the CUPRA Collection. 

CUPRA’s 3D knitting prototypes feel like a dynamic second skin when worn. These garments adapt to every person thanks to ribbed textures along the arms and body, allowing the wearer to move freely. Its parametric structures flatter the natural contours of the wearer's body, the shoulders and spine.

This reinterpretation of textile design is a preview of our recent developments for the CUPRA Collection.

The use of 3D-knitting presented with the CUPRA Raval allows the creation of designs that are only possible with this technology.

3D knitting offers multiple advantages over traditional knitting methods, with one of the most significant being the reduction in waste and energy consumption. By using only the necessary amount of yarn, this technology allows us to minimise fabric waste, making the production process more sustainable and eco-friendlier.

This production method improves comfort, durability and fit, eliminating unnecessary seams that can cause discomfort or restrict movement.

3D knits provide a more streamlined fit, improving visual appeal and comfort. CUPRA’s 3D knit prototypes, adjust to all body types, shapes and sizes, adding to their longevity and adapting to any physical change of the wearer. It also allows us to create complex shapes and designs.

The adaptive fit and the elimination of manually sewn components allow for faster turnaround times in CUPRA Collection’s production process. This enables us to invest more in R&D and high-quality materials.
